A LYON Rum Tasting Voyage on the Miles River

Set sail for a one-of-a-kind Chesapeake Bay evening aboard the historic 1902 Stanley Norman Skipjack, where sailing, storytelling, and spirited sipping come together in a single remarkable voyage. The Rum Running on the Skipjack experience invites guests to learn the lore of this rare vessel alongside the fascinating and rebellious role rum played in the history of the Chesapeake Bay region, all while enjoying a curated tasting from LYON Rum, a local, women-owned distillery based on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. During the month of July, our resident historian Brad Theis joins the voyage and uncovers the surprising role rum played in America's founding—from privateer ships and colonial trade.

The experience is timed perfectly to catch front-row views of the Wednesday Night Sailboat Races on the Miles River, one of the most beloved local traditions in St. Michaels.
